Located?
Manasota Key is located off the coast of Englewood in Southwest Florida, south of Venice. The island stretches across both Sarasota and Charlotte counties, with the Gulf of Mexico on one side and Lemon Bay on the other.
There are two primary bridge access points—one toward the northern end from the Sarasota County side and another near Englewood Beach in Charlotte County. The southern end of the island terminates at Stump Pass Beach State Park.

From fishing charters to sunset cruises and island hopping, Manasota Key welcomes many types of boating, however, with its average controlling depths of 5.5-8 feet, the channels are not designed to accommodate larger yachts.
Golf & Recreation
Though there are no golf courses directly on the island, being located right next to Englewood and the mainland of Sarasota, golf is just a short swing away. Some great recreation the key does offer is fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, shelling, shark-tooth hunting and some spectacular Gulf sunsets.
Dining, Shopping & Entertainment
Restaurants and small businesses are concentrated primarily around the Englewood Beach/Beach Road area rather than spread throughout the island. Charlotte County's community plan identifies this area as the Key's principal neighborhood business district.
